All About Me!

the Story behind the brand

KEJ Services was birthed from the founder’s personal experience with seeking an abortion and a desire to close the education gap on abortion by connecting communities and centering advocacy. It’s cultivated to be a hub of resources with the knowledge that abortion and sexual health are sites of liberation, choice, and fundamental human rights.

The Vision

I envision a world that breaks the shackles of stigma and judgment surrounding abortion care, both of which are from ignorance and misinformation. Sexuality Education courses should include a detailed section on abortion care, state laws on access to care and in-depth conversations on emotional health and wellness post-procedure. Over time, I hope to normalize the process of seeking abortion care and the education it takes to obtain one.

People of all ages are kept in the dark about this process, yet 1 in 4 women** obtain an abortion at some point. My vision is to influence a culture of acceptance, education and discourse on abortion care that no longer shames the patient for exercising a human right.

**The term women is used, as this is the language the source uses in reference to a study focused on cis-gender women’s access to abortion. Trans and nonbinary people not only receive abortions but also face many systemic barriers to care. For more info check out Abortion Explained! Queer & Trans Justice | We Testify.

Our motto: Made with your needs in mind

Our team works diligently to create products, resources and information on abortion care—always with your needs at the center. The journals were created after supervising an abortion clinic and also as an abortion patient searching for answers. I’ve learned that each patient will have different needs, concerns, and levels of abortion care knowledge.

As a starting point, these journals offer tips and suggestions to ensure you’re prepared for every step of the way. There are blank journals for those who need a “blank canvas” to release their thoughts and “self-help” guides for additional support. More resources, including blog updates and room rentals, coming soon!
